In this African Mango Diet article, we continue with the second of our 2-part African Mango Diet feature.
African Mango Diet Pills
I brought up African mango diet pills in part 1 of this article, but since we’re talking about the diet itself, we should spend more time on the weight loss supplements that go with it.

African Mango Plus is one of the more popular brands of the African mango diet pill. Click the image to be taken to the official site where you can buy African Mango Plus online.
Since Dr. Oz mentioned Irvingia, there have been many companies that have rushed to put an African mango Irvingia supplement onto the market. Here, I just want to talk about 3 of the most popular African mango diet pills.
Perhaps the most popular one is Pure African mango. This one, put out by Applied Nutrition Research, LLC, is featured at the site, PureAfricanMango.com It’s named the Pure brand because it has only one ingredient, which is Irvingia gabonensis.
The next African mango diet pill is Life Extension’s Integra-Lean Irvingia. The interesting thing about this one is that it has a patent-pending form of Irvingia gabonensis, and seems to be designed to address age-related weight gain.
Finally, perhaps the most-promoted African mango diet pill is the Plus brand. This one is called African Mango Plus. What’s neat about the Plus is that, in addition to African mango extract, it has caffeine, green tea leaf extract, and l-theanine.
These additional ingredients work to enhance the effect of the African mango extract, and can probably give you much better results than just taking Irvingia (African mango) on it’s own.
(At the end of this article, I’ve listed a few resources where you can go and read more about the African mango diet pill.)
African Mango Diet Tips
The following are some tips that will help you get the most out of the African mango diet:
- Take the stairs. Depending on how many flights of stairs you have to walk, get to work earlier and walk up the stairs. You don’t have to walk on the stairs all the way: start with one or two floors, and then, add a floor every week.
- Park further away. This is just another way to get exercise. And if you really can, just walk instead.
- Exercise…for real. I sort of brought this up when I mentioned that you should do high-intensity interval training.
- Switch to whole wheat pasta. The African mango diet calls for complex carbs, and a great, easy way to get more complex carbs is to switch from normal pasta to whole wheat pasta.
- Avoid fatty creams like cream cheese or sour cheese. The African mango diet is low in these unnecessary fats, so when you have potatoes, skip the sour cheese.
- Use butter instead of margarine. Butter is just healthier than margarine.
- Scrutinize everything you put into your mouth. Get into the habit of learning which ingredients will help you, and which will hinder your diet efforts. Read ingredient labels.
- Eat smaller meals, more often. By doing this, you’re less likely to get very hungry, because you’ll be more satiated more often. By eating more, smaller meals, your body’s resting metabolism will be higher.
- To really enjoy the African mango diet, try giving yourself a Free Day or a Cheat Day. I first read about the concept of a free day from Bill Phillips’ great book, Body-for-Life. Basically, you eat really well, and exercise, 6 days of the week. On the 7th day, you enjoy a break, as you don’t exercise, and eat what you want to eat.
